Solomon went to bed too early last night so he woke up twice. It wasn't too hard to get him back to sleep either time, but I prefer only getting up once. I was prepared for it though when I could barely get him to keep his eyes open at 9:00. He snarfed food all night long.
Yesterday, I went to get my haircut and he started to cry a lot. I thought, "oh great, how am I going to get through this." Then, one of the other hair stylists who wasn't busy offered to take care of him the whole time! It was a life saver. Thanks Brooke!
I also stopped by work yesterday. Everyone there likes to see him. I think it's a nice break for them.
Last night, I had to drop something off to Alex at his photo shoot. He had to take photos of high school wrestlers... yucky... Anyway, when I got back home, someone had strapped Coco B. Ware to our front porch with a leash. I think it was our neighbors, the Buzzards... Yes. That is their last name. She had broken through one of the fence planks. That hasn't happened in a while b/c we had gone through most of the planks last year and reinforced them. At least she was okay, but it always scares me.
I'm watching the Today Show right now. The husband of that guy, Drew Peterson, whose wife is missing, is disgusting. I'm pretty sure he's lying about it. He tried to say his wife's mood swings and her requests for a divorce during their marriage were due to her menstral cycle. He also said he would like help with his legal bills if anyone (attorneys) out there would like to help him out. He's creepy.
I'm getting my brows and lip waxed today. I am a hairy monkey these days on my face. I need to hit the gym first. Alex is having a busy week, as the magazine publishes soon.
BTW, I wrote the article for the magazine yesterday morning. The event I went to was for all of the Wichita area schools' dance teams. It was fun to watch, but I have to say about 50% of the girls were too big and looked disastrous in the spandex/sequins, etc... It was sort of like watching a small town beauty pageant I think... a little tragic.

Crying, waxing, dancing...great title! Little Solomon is so cute. I loved seeing him yesterday. I'm so glad you are finally at the stage where he is more responsive. It makes it so much easier to deal with everything when you see them respond to you.
I can imagine some of what you saw at the dance event...it really is kind of scary!
Seeing the Northwest dance squad on a regular basis is its own form of torture (most days I would prefer water-boarding) - not that I should really admit it publicly. I can imagine the pain of getting to see all the Wichita teams!! I always check out the magazine - it's fun to see kids and coaches I know, but its also cool knowing that Alex works on it ... I am looking forward to reading your article.
New baby, new blog (with posts for every day), new roof - and you are able to go get your hair done and get waxed - I was going to show Deron your blog so that he could see the new pictures of Solomon ... at this point, I think I am just going to keep it to myself for fear that he'll wonder what the hell is wrong with me!
A monkey! ha, I doubt that! But I hear ya on the creepy Peterson guy! I saw him on the Today show too and what an A**hole! I wish we didn't have to try people in court. I wish we could just shoot guys like that. Did you hear that when Geraldo interviewed him, he kept talking about how all this has been hard on HIM, and how he's gained 25 pounds? Geraldo said he kept talking about it.
