Day 2

Tomorrow is day #2 of me having Solomon at home while I am working. Day #1 was Monday. It was challenging at times, but doable. I still got A LOT done and I anticipate getting more done when I figure out exactly what I'm doing with work. Right now, it just takes me so long to find where documents I need have been saved.
We just watched one of our favorite shows on TV, "Intervention". It's a good one, but very emotional. I'm always amazed at the lengths people will go to get drugs or alcohol and the amount of them they do or drink. It's hard to believe.
I made a real dinner tonight, oven fried chicken with pasta and broccoli... crazy. It was pretty good.
Solomon is so funny. He's going through this stage where I just have to look at him and he'll start to giggle. It usually means he's going to want to eat soon too. I think the correlation is that he knows I'm the source of his food so he's trying to make nice with me. I think he's just days from crawling. It scares me b/c then I'm going to have to watch him constantly.
I'm sleepy and ready for bed. I hope everyone has had a good day.

Hi Kelly,
You will always be known as the food source, LOL! Some advice for when he starts crawling. It's great to have one room in the house that is completely child proof in case you need to step away for a moment. It's good you can work from home, when I do work from home now, it's impossible to get anything done b/c Eli wants to play with my computer, so I have to wait for naptime or after he goes to bed. Enjoy it while you can!

It does get harder to work from home as they get older. Gus frequently sees me on the computer and says, "up, up!" b/c he wants to sit on my lap while i work (or he wants to watch Sesame Street or Yo Gabba Gabba on Youtube...) But you just have to get really creative with them as they get older. I just take frequent breaks so I can redirect Gus' attention to a toy or whatnot. You learn to work in small spurts, work VERY efficiently and work a lot while they nap! :) Some days are definitely better than others, as it is with anything.

Good luck! You'll love it.

ooo, crawling, how exciting. Carina never really did it (kinda sorta), so I never knew the "oh no, she's so fast" feeling mom's talk about w/ babies. Have fun!!

Welcome to Kelly's world!!!
